Bus Evacuation Drill

State regulations require that schools have two emergency school bus evacuation drills every year, one in September and one in February.

The requirements apply to students in all programs, including those needing special assistance. Drivers and attendants on the buses receive instruction in conducting emergency evacuations. In addition, the school nurse and/or the physical therapist will be in attendance during the drill.

These practice drills are important and provide students and staff with the procedures and knowledge required for leaving a school bus in case of an emergency.

If you do not wish your child to participate in the bus evacuation drill for medical reasons, please download the Evacuation Waiver Form, sign it, and return it to the school at least 5 days prior to any bus evacuation drill.
