Magnet Program

Lansdowne Middle School Center for Career and Professional Studies has been busy expanding and planning our magnet program.
PROPOSED STUDENT ENRICHMENT EXPERIENCES:
Home Depot
1st Mariner Bank and Deposit Day
Annapolis State House
Baltimore Zoo
St. Agnes Hospital
7th Grade
Students will participate and create their OWN society, with laws, taxes, and products.
PROPOSED ACTIVITIES:
In September, students will receive introductory lessons on the various ventures and agencies in the MicroSociety.
Then, students will apply for a job in their venture or agency of choice and will "get to work".
A Parent MicroSociety Information Night will be scheduled.
8th Grade
Students will participate in pilot lessons and activities.
Students will explore Academies offered at LHS and the careers and colleges related to those academies.
Students will choose an Academy that interest them the most and will create a research project.
